The Honeywell Group has lauded ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s Ministry of Interior, describing them as critical steps toward improving service delivery, strengthening national security, and fostering a more business-friendly environment, as both parties pledged deeper collaboration to advance economic growth and national development.

The position was contained in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Interior and signed by Mrs. Mary Ali, ANIPR, Head of Press and Public Relations, following a courtesy visit by Honeywell Group executives to the office of the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in Abuja.

Receiving the delegation led by the Senior Adviser to Honeywell Group, Mrs. Oduwaye Nsidi-Sakiri, and the Group’s Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Tomi Ayo-Tugbo, the Minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to partnering with responsible corporate organizations to stimulate economic development and improve public service delivery.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo expressed appreciation to Honeywell Group for acknowledging the Ministry’s reform initiatives and commended the company for its longstanding contributions to Nigeria’s economy through investments, job creation, and support for national development.

According to the Minister, the reforms being implemented across agencies under the Ministry are aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening security architecture, and rebuilding public trust in government institutions.

“Our goal is to build institutions that work efficiently for the people. We are committed to creating systems that are transparent, technology-driven, and capable of delivering services in a manner that reflects the aspirations of a modern Nigeria,” Tunji-Ojo stated.

The Minister emphasized that sustainable national development requires robust collaboration between government and the private sector.

“The government cannot achieve sustainable development alone. Strong partnerships between the public and private sectors are essential to building a prosperous nation. We value organizations such as Honeywell Group that have consistently invested in Nigeria and contributed to the country’s growth over several decades,” he added.

“We commend the remarkable progress that has been made. These achievements are a reflection not only of leadership but also of the dedication and hard work of the entire team within the Ministry,” she said.

Nsidi-Sakiri noted that the visit was in line with Honeywell Group’s tradition of maintaining constructive relationships with government institutions, regulators, and key public-sector stakeholders.

She further expressed the company’s willingness to explore opportunities for collaboration that would support government programmes and broader national development objectives.
