2027: Effium Community Endorses Governor Nwifuru For Second Tenure, Harps On His Achievements

The Indigenous people of Effium autonomous Community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area have endorsed the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as their sole gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement came after an enlarged stakeholders meeting held on Saturday at Effium village square, during which the numerous achievements of the governor were appraised.
The meeting was well attended by serving and past political office holders to include the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Rural Development, Dr. Nicodemus Omenka, Hon. Barrister Frank Onwe, Dr. Agena James, serving councillors of the three Effium Indigenous Wards; Effium Ward one, Wigbeke Ward one, and Wigbeke Ward three. Management committee members and Supervisors were also in the meeting.
Others include former Coordinators of Effium and Effium South Development Centres , Hon. Agbo Sunday and Hon. Dele Ijoko respectively, serving and incoming councilors, ward Executive members, youths headed by the All Progressive Congress Youth Leader in Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Hon. Agena Benjamin, women groups and elders of Effium extraction.
Moving the motion for the endorsement of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, Dr. Omenka Nicodemus, Special Assistant to Governor Francis Nwifuru on Rural Development eulogized Governor Nwifuru for his uncommon infrastructural development, empowerment of Ebonyi youths, sponsorship of Ebonyi students to both oversea and local scholarships, payment of backlog of pension and gratuities to Ebonyi civil servants, and above all, the restoration of peace between the people of Effium and Ezza-Effium.
Omenka said, we are endorsing the Governor of Ebonyi State because of his numerous achievements in Ebonyi State, I Chief Nicodemus Omenka, Special Assistant to Governor Francis Nwifuru, deemed it fit to move a motion for the endorsement of the governor as a sole candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Ebonyi State “, Dr. Omenka said.
The motion was seconded by Dr. James Agena, the Town Union President of Effium autonomous Community. Agena said Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has done exceptionally well in the areas of health, infrastructure and empowerment.
Following the motion for endorsement, Hon. Frank Nwaka Onwe put the motion to vote and it was unanimously adopted by the three indigenous wards of Effium which include Effium Ward one, Wigbeke Ward one and Wigbeke Ward three.
Speaking earlier to the people of Effium, Dr. Agena James, Effium Development Union President admonished the people of Effium to give their total support to all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general election.
Moreover, Hon. Frank Onwe, who warned against anti-party politics, appealed to the people to give total support to the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates from bottom to top, while commending Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for restoring enduring peace between the people of Effium and Ezza-Effium.
Speaking on behalf of former development centre Coordinators of Effium extraction, Hon. Agbo Sunday, who urged the people of the three wards in Effium not to allow themselves to be misled by opposition elements, assured that their vote for Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is a vote for the consolidation of democratic dividends.
Barring his mind, a legal practitioner, Barrister Egbe Sunday, who advised the supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to maintain an inclusive political system, pointed out that through persuasion and consultation, the party would record victory in the forthcoming general election.
Speaking on behalf of the women, the Ohaukwu Local Government Area Vice Chairman designate in the forthcoming Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Beatrice Idenyi urged the supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) of the three wards to sustain the peace efforts of the governor and vote for him massively in 2027.
