Without wasting time, going through yesterday’s devotional possibly gave any rational and emotion filled minds, reasons to ask if “The blood of the innocent people being killed still cry to God” for His punitive reactions against the murderers. Most people are really confused over the seemingly silence of God over the dimensions people are slaughtered by fellow humans every day. Many others expect the vengeance of God instantly pronounced on these blood tasting voodoos. God commanded His people saying “Thou shall not kill” (Exod. 20: 13). The same God’s commandment says that anyone who willfully killed another person should be killed by law of the people (Exod. 21:12; Lev. 24: 17). These two passages show God hates killing of human beings by fellow human beings.

Till date, God hates those who kill fellow human beings. His commandment of “Thou shall not kill” is embedded in so many religious groups’ laws and social laws. Some countries still see killing of human beings as a greatest sin against GOD, their gods and humanity. Many governments ascribed punishment by death on anyone who deliberately killed another fellow being. Some individual human beings hear the cry of the innocents being killed and reacted with curses on the murderers. Some courts of laws still condemned murderers to jail or by hanging. It is said that mankind rules the world through God’s power. If humans condemn killing of innocent people, it means that God still condemns killings of human beings. Therefore, this series of devotional agrees that the cry of the innocent people still cry to God and God still hears the cry. When the blood of Abel cried, God heard and when the blood of the martyrs in the book of Revelation cried God heard them.

Looking into God’s responses to the two cries reveals that God responds to cries of one being killed in diverse ways. To that of Abel, His response was rapid. For the martyrs He consoled them and told them why He still delays vengeance for their killers (Rev. 6: 10 – 11). Fact about God, as said two days ago, is that He does not think the ways we think about issues. We human beings will always get it wrong if we think God should be reacting to issues according to our wants. God actually responds to the cries of human beings slayed. There are so many forms of punishments God brings upon people who kill other human beings these days; other than calling the murderers straight from heaven as He did to Cain. Next series on this discussion will bring to the fore, some ways God responds to the cries of the blood of the innocent people being killed every day.

PRAYER:

JEHOVAH GOD, killing of innocent people is so weighty and traumatizing that many people are leaving the Faith. Kindly hold us together in Faith and Hope till your vengeance comes in Jesus name.

POSITIVE DECLARATION:

In all the killings going round the globe, I pledge to hold on to God until our changes will come. Hallelujah!
